Biography
Konstantin Samofalov is a law graduate and historian with a master’s degree, born on June 15, 1982, in Belgrade. He completed his secondary education at the 14th Belgrade Gymnasium in 2001, and graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade, in 2007.
He continued his professional development in the field of security studies, completing the academic program “Combating Narcotics Trafficking” in 2010 at the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. A year later, he completed Advanced Security and Defense Studies at the Military Academy in Belgrade. In the same year, 2011, he completed his military service as a member of the first generation of volunteers following the professionalization of the Serbian Armed Forces, serving in an infantry unit at the “Živojin Mišić” barracks in Valjevo.
In academic terms, he earned the title of Master Historian in 2018 at the Department of History, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade.
In his professional career, he served as a member of the Management and Supervisory Board of the International Parliamentary Forum on Small Arms and Light Weapons in Stockholm from 2012 to 2015, and also cooperated with the European Leadership Network, a London-based institute for security and foreign policy. He also holds a tourist guide license.
He has been active in Serbia’s political life for more than two decades. He served as a councilor in the Belgrade City Assembly from 2004 to 2008, and as a Member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia for three terms, from 2007 to 2014, where he was for many years a member of the Defense and Security Committee. In the 2020 local elections, he headed the electoral list “Let’s Liberate Vračar.”
Since September 2024, he has served as the International Secretary of the Freedom and Justice Party (SSP). He is fluent in English.
