Direction Europe Foundation Representatives Participate in the 15th Korčula School

Predstavnici Fondacije „Pravac Evropa“ učestvovali su na jubilarnom, 15. izdanju Korčula School, održanom od 27. do 29. avgusta 2026. godine na Korčuli u Hrvatskoj.

For fifteen years, the Korčula School has served as an important gathering place for progressive leaders, politicians, experts and civil society representatives from across Europe, providing a platform for the exchange of experiences, open discussion on contemporary political and social challenges, and the development of progressive responses to issues shaping the future of European societies.

A particular value of the Korčula School lies in its ability to bring together people and organisations from different European countries and create a space where, beyond discussing current challenges, long-term partnerships are built, experiences are shared and ideas for future joint initiatives are developed.

This year’s milestone edition was held under the title “Losing Ground, Gaining Voice – Rethinking Feminist Resistance in an Age of Populist Backlash 2.0.” The programme focused on gender equality, democratic institutions and human rights, responses to the rise of populism, and the development of progressive political strategies for the future. Participants included representatives of numerous European organisations and institutions, including FEPS, PES Women, the Progressive Alliance, national and European institutions, academia and civil society.

The participation of Konstantin Samofalov and Stefan Milivojević was also important for strengthening the international presence and cooperation of the Direction Europe Foundation. Taking part in a forum of this kind provides an opportunity for direct dialogue with European partners, the exchange of knowledge and experience, and the development of new contacts and partnerships, particularly in the fields of democracy, European integration, human rights and progressive public policies.

For the Direction Europe Foundation, participation in the Korčula School represents another step in its efforts to strengthen Serbia’s links with the wider European political, expert and civil society community, as well as a reaffirmation of the Foundation’s commitment to contributing to Serbia’s European perspective through international cooperation, dialogue and concrete initiatives.
